NSPIRE Annual and Pre-REAC Federal Inspections
The new NSPIRE inspection model focuses primarily on the health and safety of the resident, dwelling units, and functional defects over appearance. With many new requirements, hundreds of NSPIRE defects will have 24-hour or 30-day repair requirements and will require communication with HUD. Additionally, units will need to “pass” their portion of the inspection to pass the overall REAC inspection.
NSPIRE
Using the same approach that the REAC inspector will use, all inspections will include the 3 inspectable areas, dwelling units, interior, and exterior. Your NSPIRE inspection report will document all deficiencies for each inspectable area as defined by HUD and will give you an estimated score in PDF and or excel format.
